Cirrus Aircraft 70185-001 Flap Actuator Gusset Reinforcement Kit — SR20/SR22, SB2X-27-13
When overloaded, the flap actuator mounting gusset could disbond from the fuselage skin, which could lead to failure of the flap actuator system and reduce the deployed position of the flaps.
Cirrus classes SB2X-27-13 as recommended, at the next annual inspection or within the next 100 flight hours.
What the kit does: Supplies the hardpoint plugs, precure patch and fasteners used to reinforce the bond of the flap actuator mounting gusset after it is inspected.
Why it works. Bolting through hardpoint plugs adds a mechanical attachment to the gusset's adhesive bond, so the gusset no longer depends on the bond alone.
Note: For SR20 serials 1005 thru 1422 and SR22 serials 0002 thru 0794 and 0796 thru 0819. Refer to SB2X-27-13 to confirm applicability before ordering.
