Garmin GMU 44 Magnetometer — Cirrus P/N 24650-002
The GMU 44 is the remote magnetometer that supplies heading data to the Garmin Perspective avionics in the SR20, SR22 and SR22T.
Fit (from the Cirrus IPC):
- Replaces 24650-001. Cirrus directs spares for SR20 serials 2016 thru 2062, SR22 serials 3026 thru 3698 and SR22T serials 0001 thru 0017 to 24650-002.
- Perspective avionics: SR20 serials 2063 and subsequent, SR22 serials 3699 and subsequent, SR22T serials 0018 and subsequent.
- Perspective+: SR20 serials 2339 thru 2900, SR22 serials 4435 thru 5300, SR22T serials 1473 thru 2600 — two magnetometers per aircraft.
- From serial 8500, the GMU 44B (24650-003) is listed as the alternate.
An overhauled exchange unit is also available as 24650-002S. Verify against your aircraft's serial number and the current Cirrus IPC before ordering.
