Cirrus Aircraft 70071-001 MLG Brake Line Anti-Chafe Spacer Kit — SR20/SR22, SB2X-32-08
On some affected aircraft, the lower strut fairing can chafe the main landing gear brake line, which could make the line fail — leaving diminished or no braking.
Cirrus classes SB2X-32-08 as mandatory, at the next maintenance or within six calendar months, whichever occurs first. The brake line is inspected, and replaced if chafing exceeds 10% of the wall thickness.
What the kit does: Supplies four anti-chafe spacers for the upper and lower nutplate clips on the lower strut fairings.
Note: For SR20 serials 1005 thru 1316 and SR22 serials 0002 thru 0914. Refer to SB2X-32-08 to confirm applicability before ordering.
