Cirrus Aircraft 70074-001 OAT Probe Ground Wire Kit — Avidyne EX5000, SR20/SR22, SB2X-34-08
The outside air temperature probe can build up a static charge from precipitation static, which could temporarily shut down the sensor interface.
The bulletin is optional, at the owner's option.
What the kit does: Supplies the OAT probe ground wire.
Why it works. The ground wire bleeds the static charge off the probe, reducing the chance of a sensor interface shutdown.
Note: For SR20 serials 1005 thru 1424 and SR22 serials 0002 thru 0964 with the Avidyne FlightMax EX5000 and engine monitoring. Refer to SB2X-34-08 to confirm applicability before ordering.
