Description
Cirrus Aircraft 70076-001-8013 Dual Inertia Reel Seat Belt Kit — Gray, SR20/SR22, SB2X-25-07
On affected aircraft, a single inertia reel serves both crew seat shoulder harness straps. Some people find that uncomfortable — too little freedom of movement for larger occupants, or a loose fit for smaller ones. The bulletin also provides an alternate, further-forward lap belt attachment that some larger occupants find more comfortable.
Cirrus classed SB2X-25-07 as mandatory, with a compliance date of December 10, 2005. If the lap belt is relocated forward on an aircraft that already has the SB2X-25-09 anti-rotation tabs, SB2X-25-09 must be done again at the new holes.
What the kit does: Supplies two dual inertia reels in gray, with covers and mounting hardware for both crew seats, plus the nutplates and rivets for the alternate forward lap belt attachment.
Which kit do I need: The kit is ordered by interior color. Black (-2396) and frost (-8096) are for SR20 serials 1423 and subsequent and SR22 serials 0821 and subsequent; gray (-8013) and fawn (-8060) are for SR20 serials 1005 thru 1422 and SR22 serials 0002 thru 0820 — all within the bulletin's effectivity of SR20 1005 thru 1472 and SR22 0002 thru 1128. Refer to SB2X-25-07 to confirm applicability before ordering.
Reference only — not a maintenance authority. The part numbers, effectivity and service bulletin references shown above are published as an aid to our customers and may not reflect current Cirrus data. They must not be used as the basis for installation. Mechanics must obtain and use their own current Cirrus Illustrated Parts Catalog and the current revision of any service bulletin, and must verify applicability against the aircraft serial number, service bulletin compliance and any installed STCs, before ordering or installing any part.
