Cirrus Aircraft 70088-001 Lower Cowl Heat Shield Kit — SR22, SB2X-71-08
On affected SR22s, heat from the exhaust pipes can damage the inside of the lower engine cowling.
Cirrus classes SB2X-71-08 as mandatory, at the next annual inspection or within 100 flight hours, whichever occurs first.
What the kit does: Supplies aluminum heat-shield tape and tape primer for the inside of the lower cowling.
Why it works. The aluminum shielding keeps exhaust heat off the cowling.
Note: For SR22 serials 0795 and 0820 thru 0996. Refer to SB2X-71-08 to confirm applicability before ordering.
