Cirrus Aircraft 70097-101 Fuel Selector Valve Extension Shaft Sleeve — SR20/SR22, SB2X-28-03
The aluminum sleeve that fits over the fuel selector valve extension shaft — the sleeve supplied in kit 70097-001 under mandatory SB2X-28-03.
On affected aircraft, the index pins that secure the fuel selector extension shaft to the selector handle's detent assembly have an inadequate interference fit and may fall free. The detent assembly could then rotate around the shaft, preventing fuel tank selection.
Why it works. The sleeve holds the index pins in place, so they cannot fall free of the detent assembly.
Note: For SR20 serials 1005 thru 1464 and SR22 serials 0002 thru 1103. Refer to SB2X-28-03 to confirm applicability before ordering.
