Description
Cirrus Aircraft 70122-001 Heavy-Duty Brake Upgrade Kit — SR22, SB2X-32-13
To improve braking, Cirrus developed wheel and brake assembly upgrades that increase brake lining service life and energy-absorbing capacity.
SB2X-32-13 is optional, at the owner's option and expense. Mandatory SB2X-32-14 (main gear fairing inspection hole) must be done before or at the same time, or the inspection hole will not line up with the brake temperature indicator. Optional SB2X-32-21 is an alternative upgrade for aircraft that have not complied with SB2X-32-13.
What the kit does: Supplies the Parker brake conversion kit — brake cylinders, a brake disc, lining wear indicator, inboard and outboard grease seals and nameplates.
Which kit do I need: SR20 serials 1005 thru 1194 use kit 70123-001, which also converts the wheels; SR20 serials 1195 thru 1600 use 70123-002; SR22 serials 0002 thru 1739 use 70122-001. Refer to SB2X-32-13 to confirm applicability before ordering.
Reference only — not a maintenance authority. The part numbers, effectivity and service bulletin references shown above are published as an aid to our customers and may not reflect current Cirrus data. They must not be used as the basis for installation. Mechanics must obtain and use their own current Cirrus Illustrated Parts Catalog and the current revision of any service bulletin, and must verify applicability against the aircraft serial number, service bulletin compliance and any installed STCs, before ordering or installing any part.
