Cirrus Aircraft 70162-001 60A Alternator Grounding Strap Kit — SR22, SB2X-24-06
SB2X-24-06 inspects the 60A and 100A alternator wires on affected SR22s and adds anti-chafing protection where they run below and aft of the RH baffle. It also adds a grounding strap to 60A alternators, to improve grounding and durability, and enlarges the grommet pass-through at the RH forward baffle on 100A alternators to stop wire chafing.
Cirrus classes SB2X-24-06 as recommended, at the next scheduled maintenance, annual inspection or within six calendar months, whichever occurs first.
What the kit does: Supplies the 60A alternator grounding strap.
Which kit do I need: Every affected aircraft uses 70131-001. Aircraft with the 60A alternator also need 70162-001. For SR22 serials 0002 thru 1601, 1603 thru 1839 and 1841 thru 2003. Refer to SB2X-24-06 to confirm applicability before ordering.
