Description
Cirrus Aircraft 70188-001 Inflatable Restraint Connector Repair Kit — SR20/SR22, SB2X-25-19
The LH and RH inflatable restraint connectors may flex against the SkyWatch box or the vent/fan assembly, which can damage them and interfere with restraint activation.
Cirrus classes SB2X-25-19 as recommended, within 50 flight hours or the next six calendar months, whichever occurs first. The connectors are inspected, repaired if damaged, and secured in a new position.
What the kit does: Supplies connector retainers, heat shrink and cable ties used to repair and secure the interface cable connectors.
Why it works. Rotating the connectors away from the interfering structure and securing them with an extra cable tie stops the flexing.
Note: For SR20 serials 1423 thru 1785 and SR22 serials 0795 and 0820 thru 2407 — the bulletin's effectivity also depends on SkyWatch and SB2X-25-14 status. Refer to SB2X-25-19 to confirm applicability before ordering.
Reference only — not a maintenance authority. The part numbers, effectivity and service bulletin references shown above are published as an aid to our customers and may not reflect current Cirrus data. They must not be used as the basis for installation. Mechanics must obtain and use their own current Cirrus Illustrated Parts Catalog and the current revision of any service bulletin, and must verify applicability against the aircraft serial number, service bulletin compliance and any installed STCs, before ordering or installing any part.
