Cirrus Aircraft 70194-001 Fresh Air Inlet Duct Insulation Kit — SR22, SB2X-21-02
On affected SR22s, ram air for the environmental control system heats up while it is ducted through the engine compartment.
Cirrus classes SB2X-21-02 as recommended, at the next scheduled maintenance or annual inspection, whichever occurs first.
What the kit does: Supplies the insulated tube that fits over the fresh air inlet duct.
Why it works. The insulation reduces the heat transferred to the ram air, improving environmental control system performance.
Note: For SR22 serials 2334, 2420 and 2438 thru 2661. Refer to SB2X-21-02 to confirm applicability before ordering.
