Cirrus Aircraft 70199-001 Leading Edge Protective Tape Kit — SR22, SB2X-51-02
On affected SR22s, paint at the leading edge may peel, especially in flight through precipitation.
Cirrus classes SB2X-51-02 as recommended, at the next maintenance, annual inspection or within 25 flight hours, whichever occurs first — and recommends doing it as soon as possible to reduce the potential for paint failure. Aircraft that already have paint damage: contact Cirrus for disposition.
What the kit does: Supplies polyurethane protective tape for the seam between the porous panel and the painted surface on the wings and horizontal stabilizer.
