Description
Cirrus Aircraft 70238-001 Nose Gear Reinforcement Kit — SR20/SR22, SB2X-32-19
Some SR22 aircraft have developed cracks in the upper section of the nose landing gear, through the cross tube welds and gusset plate.
Cirrus classes SB2X-32-19 as mandatory, within the next 100 flight hours or 12 calendar months. The bulletin requires a recurring inspection of the nose gear assembly for cracking.
What the kit does: Supplies the hardware installed through the forward cross tube of the nose gear assembly when the inspection finds cracking, to strengthen the cross tube and prevent further cracking. This kit is needed only if the inspection calls for the reinforcement.
Note: For SR20 serials 1878 and 1886 thru 2035, and SR22 serials 0002 thru 3612, with exceptions. Refer to SB2X-32-19 to confirm applicability before ordering.
Reference only — not a maintenance authority. The part numbers, effectivity and service bulletin references shown above are published as an aid to our customers and may not reflect current Cirrus data. They must not be used as the basis for installation. Mechanics must obtain and use their own current Cirrus Illustrated Parts Catalog and the current revision of any service bulletin, and must verify applicability against the aircraft serial number, service bulletin compliance and any installed STCs, before ordering or installing any part.
