Cirrus Aircraft 70247-001 Mixture Cable Clamp Kit, SR22T — SB2X-72-01
On early SR22Ts, engine components forward of the firewall may show signs of chafing. SB2X-72-01 inspects for it and corrects it, with kits that reduce the contact areas.
Cirrus classes SB2X-72-01 as mandatory, at the next scheduled maintenance, annual inspection or within 100 flight hours, whichever occurs first. The air box seal and air/oil separator work that was originally part of this bulletin now sits in SB2X-71-17 (kit 70257-001) and SB2X-71-19 (kits 70259-001 and -002).
What the kit does: Supplies an Adel clamp and hardware that secure the mixture cable at the cabin side of the firewall.
Which kits do I need: The bulletin covers SR22T serials 0001 thru 0025 and 0027 thru 0041, and each kit covers part of that range. 70246-001, A/C compressor belt and turnbuckle — serials 0001 thru 0025 and 0036, with air conditioning. 70247-001, mixture cable clamp — serials 0001 thru 0025. 70251-001, improved crossover ducts — serials 0001 thru 0020, 0022, 0024 and 0025.
