Cirrus Aircraft 70257-001 Induction Air Box Seal Kit — SR22T, SB2X-71-17
On affected SR22Ts, the induction system air box seals could disbond and be ingested into the turbocharger compressor.
Cirrus classes SB2X-71-17 as mandatory, within the next 10 flight hours.
What the kit does: Supplies two reinforced silicone fiberglass air box seals.
Note: Group A — SR22T serials 0001 thru 0169, except 0154, 0159 and 0163. Group B — serials 0004, 0019, 0027, 0047, 0097, 0126, 0127, 0135, 0138, 0139, 0144, 0155, 0157, 0158, 0160 and 0161 — had the reinforced seals fitted at the factory, but the air box flange welds and slots were incorrectly modified; the bulletin inspects and corrects them. Refer to SB2X-71-17 to confirm applicability before ordering.
