Cirrus Aircraft 70262-001 Upper Cowl Core Reinforcement Kit — SR22, SB2X-71-21
On affected SR22s, the upper cowl may flex, which can crack the paint.
Cirrus classes SB2X-71-21 as recommended, at the next scheduled maintenance, annual inspection or within 12 calendar months, whichever occurs first.
What the kit does: Supplies the core material installed in the upper cowl to strengthen it. Re-painting is done as required.
Why it works. The added core stiffens the cowl, so it no longer flexes enough to crack the paint.
Note: For SR22 serials 3750 thru 3855 and 3857 thru 3859. Refer to SB2X-71-21 to confirm applicability before ordering.
