Cirrus Aircraft 70263-001 Oil Line Security Kit — SR22T, SB2X-79-01
On affected SR22Ts, the oil line between the oil cooler and the wastegate can chafe against surrounding engine components if it is not properly clamped to the engine mount weldment.
Cirrus classes SB2X-79-01 as mandatory, at the next scheduled maintenance or annual inspection, whichever occurs first. The oil line installation is inspected; chafing inspection, re-routing and clamping are done as required.
What the kit does: Supplies the bracket, clamps and hardware that secure the oil line to the engine mount weldment.
Why it works. Clamped to the engine mount weldment, the oil line is held clear of the components it could chafe against.
Note: For SR22T serials 0001 thru 0258. Refer to SB2X-79-01 to confirm applicability before ordering.
