Cirrus Aircraft 70518-001 Alternate Air Box Bracket Spacer Kit — SR22T, SB2X-71-27
On affected SR22Ts, the alternate air box bracket may contact the oil sump, causing localized deformation or chafing on the surface of the sump. Continental Motors SB15-3 has additional information.
Cirrus classes SB2X-71-27 as mandatory, at the annual or 100-hour inspection or the next scheduled maintenance when the oil sump is accessible. The bracket is inspected for interference; new fasteners are installed only if required.
What the kit does: Supplies the spacer plate and the screws installed where the inspection calls for new fasteners.
Note: For SR22T serials 0001 thru 1048, 1051, 1058 and 1062. Refer to SB2X-71-27 to confirm applicability before ordering.
