Cirrus Aircraft 70605-001 Remote-Mount Oil Pressure Sensor Kit — SR22, SB2X-79-08
On aircraft with the oil pressure sensor mounted directly on the engine block, long-term vibration works on the connector built into the sensor and the gauge begins reading erratically.
Cirrus classes SB2X-79-08 as recommended, on condition of erratic oil pressure indication — it is done when the symptom appears.
What the kit does: Moves the oil pressure sensor off the engine block. Supplies a new sensor and a flexible hose to plumb it remotely, plus the adapter, fitting, clamps and hardware to mount it.
Why it works. The sensor is no longer bolted to a vibrating engine block, so the connector inside it stops being shaken — which is what produced the erratic readings.
