Cirrus Aircraft 70655-001 Cabin Door Striker Pin Bushing Kit — Forward, SB2X-53-08
Cirrus found that on some aircraft the hardware pass-through holes for the upper cabin door striker pin may have been misdrilled.
Cirrus classes SB2X-53-08 as mandatory, at the next scheduled maintenance or annual inspection, whichever occurs first. Every affected aircraft is inspected; a kit is needed only where the inspection finds a discrepant hole.
What the kit does: Supplies the forward bushings used to modify the upper cabin door striker pin hardware holes.
Why it works. Modifying the discrepant hole and fitting bushings restores proper striker pin security, which is what the bulletin requires.
Which kit do I need: The inspection decides. A discrepant forward hole takes 70655-001; a discrepant aft hole takes 70655-002; both takes both kits; if neither is discrepant, no kit is needed. For SR20 serials 2461 thru 2467, SR22 serials 4711 thru 4734 and SR22T serials 1809 thru 1830. Refer to SB2X-53-08 to confirm applicability before ordering.
Reference only — not a maintenance authority. The part numbers, effectivity and service bulletin references shown above are published as an aid to our customers and may not reflect current Cirrus data. They must not be used as the basis for installation. Mechanics must obtain and use their own current Cirrus Illustrated Parts Catalog and the current revision of any service bulletin, and must verify applicability against the aircraft serial number, service bulletin compliance and any installed STCs, before ordering or installing any part.
