Description

Cirrus Aircraft 70551-002 Remote-Mount Oil Pressure Sensor Kit — SR22T Group C, SB2X-79-04

On aircraft with the oil pressure sensor mounted directly on the engine block, long-term vibration works on the connector built into the sensor and the gauge begins reading erratically.

Cirrus classes SB2X-79-04 as recommended, on condition of erratic oil pressure indication — it is done when the symptom appears.

What the kit does: Moves the oil pressure sensor off the engine block, with the hoses, fittings and hardware to mount it remotely.

Why it works. The sensor is no longer bolted to a vibrating engine block, so the connector inside it stops being shaken — which is what produced the erratic readings.

Note: This kit is for the SR22T serials listed in Group C of the bulletin; Group A and B serials use kit 70551-001. SR22 aircraft use kit 70605-001 under SB2X-79-08. Refer to SB2X-79-04 to confirm the right kit.

Reference only — not a maintenance authority. The part numbers, effectivity and service bulletin references shown above are published as an aid to our customers and may not reflect current Cirrus data. They must not be used as the basis for installation. Mechanics must obtain and use their own current Cirrus Illustrated Parts Catalog and the current revision of any service bulletin, and must verify applicability against the aircraft serial number, service bulletin compliance and any installed STCs, before ordering or installing any part.
