Cirrus Aircraft 70067-001 Trim Cartridge & Sealing Plug Kit — SR20/SR22, SB2X-27-08
After exposure to large amounts of water, affected aircraft operating in cold weather may have the roll or pitch flight controls stick, because water freezes in the trim cartridge.
Cirrus classes SB2X-27-08 as mandatory, at the next scheduled maintenance or within six calendar months, whichever occurs first.
What the kit does: Supplies a sealed roll trim cartridge, a sealing plug for the pitch trim cartridge, O-rings and bushings. The pitch trim cartridge is also lubricated.
Why it works. The sealed roll cartridge and the plug keep water out of the cartridges, and the lubrication protects against frozen condensation.
Which kit do I need: This kit, 70067-001, is for SR20 serials 1005 thru 1300 and SR22 serials 0002 thru 0498; it also needs the pitch trim cartridge bushing removal tool from Cirrus. SR20 serials 1301 thru 1383 and SR22 serials 0499 thru 0754 use 70067-002, which is the roll trim cartridge only. Refer to SB2X-27-08 to confirm applicability before ordering.
