Cirrus Aircraft 70070-001 Horizontal Stabilizer Inspection Hole Cover Kit — SR20/SR22, SB2X-55-10
Adhesive squeeze-out left from bonding the horizontal stabilizer could break loose inside it as debris, with the possibility of interfering with the elevator's freedom of movement.
Cirrus classes SB2X-55-10 as mandatory, at the next annual inspection or within the next 100 flight hours, whichever occurs first.
What the kit does: Supplies covers for the outboard inspection holes on the horizontal stabilizer.
Why it works. Closing the inspection holes keeps any loose debris inside the stabilizer from reaching the elevator.
Note: For SR20 serials 1005 thru 1422 and SR22 serials 0002 thru 0874. Refer to SB2X-55-10 to confirm applicability before ordering.
